The Matanceros player has participated in six editions of the Cuban National Baseball League.

During his final season in Cuba, Camejo posted a .329 batting average in 50 games, collecting 31 hits, including two home runs and five triples.

Matanzas’ team had a disappointing performance in the Barcelona Baseball Cup, where they were eliminated before the final with just one win in three games.

After the elimination, Camejo decided not to return to the island, adding to the list of desertions that regularly occur within Cuban sports delegations participating in international competitions.
