Last week, one of the most important judo events of the year was held at the PlayHall in Viale Carpi.
The CSEN Italian Championship brought 1,500 athletes to Riccione, aged between 8 and 60, in an unprecedented two days. The parterre of the sports hall is set up with 7 regulation tatamis, which allows the race to be managed in the best way, despite the large participation. Credit for the work goes to the Emilia Romagna Regional Committee which, together with the newly established local Judoka Riccionese ASD club of Polisportiva, allowed the organization of the event.
The athletes of the latter stood out, even in battles, especially in the youth sector, where they took first place in the under 12 ranking and third place in the general under 14 ranking.
The technical director and promoter of the Judoka Riccionese ASD, Giuseppe Longo, stated: “The commitment of the organization is heavy and intense. We firmly believe that encouraging these events in our territory is our proper duty, because because the community of Riccione lives in tourism and we can enjoy cutting-edge systems thanks to it. We want to be an important part of an economic and social system that allows us to fulfill our educational mission.”
In short, among many athletes, the people from Riccione achieved many podiums: Cecilia Nassuato won gold in the 44 kg debutant B category Bruno Karamba Badiane, in 81 kg under 23 category, took the third step on the podium, only to lose. in the semi-final after a tough fight, like his brother Xavier Badiane. Luca Nassuato, the only top athlete, took third place. But that’s not all, because two athletes in their very first experience also gave great satisfaction: Mina Achille, 12 years old, and 25 years old Matteo Bregu. Both took second and third place respectively in their categories.
