The location chosen by Cruzeiro for part of the pre-season is the IMG Academy, known in the United States for its world-class training facilities for athletes. The delegation is currently at the Sports Center in Bradenton, Florida, where they are training.
Basically, IMG is a boarding school that focuses on the athletic development of students. They offer programs in soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, volleyball, golf, softball, American football and lacrosse.
There is a stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators as well as ten football fields where the heavenly delegation carries out its activities. In addition to a comprehensive infrastructure for sports operations and accommodation for young people, there is the Legacy Hotel, where the Brazilian team is accommodated.
Next week, the Raposa players, coaching staff and other members will head to Orlando, about 125 miles from Bradenton. There the team will play two friendly matches at the Inter&Co Stadium: against São Paulo on January 15th and against Atlético on January 18th.
