Subsequently, the three heads of government met, behind closed doors, in the premises of the Nigerian Prime Minister for a working session. This high-level consultation is the first of its kind between the three personalities of the Alliance of Sahel States. It was the framework, not only for formal contact but also for the exaltation of the bonds of brotherhood between authorities of sister countries. The host of the meeting, the Prime Minister of Niger, Ali Lamine Zeine, noted a convergence of views on the common mission that he and his counterparts have to fulfill within the framework of the AES Confederation.
He also thanked his counterparts from Mali and Burkina Faso for honoring the fraternal invitation of the Nigerien people and for the support given to his country in the face of the hostility recently denounced by the President of Niger in his speech of December 17, 2024.
