Compact SUVs: the trunks with the greatest capacity

To say that SUVs are the “kings” of the Italian market is to discover hot water, but it still makes a sensation that those in segment B – definable as compact and which we consider between 400 and 435 cm – represent 27% of the market (Unrae data from January to July 2024) and can aspire, soon, to exceed the technical-psychological threshold of 30% of the total market. The over 276 thousand units registered, with a growth of 2.8% compared to 2023, make it the number 1 segment in Italy. As with the sedans in the same segment that we recently examined, there are models at the limit of segment C that adequately exploit the already important dimensions and others that could have a more capacious trunk. Just as there are cars that are around 420 cm in length but are the joy of those who would bring their entire house with them.
