Exclusive Access to Hidden Gems in Como
Como, Italy is set to host the seventh edition of Festival di Bellezze Interiori, an unparalleled event offering exclusive access to secret places and fascinating, normally closed-off gardens. From Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 May, participants will have the chance to explore the hidden beauty of Como, combining nature, art, culture, and music.
Organized by Tikvà social cooperative, the festival is curated by Andrea Parodi and Sara Ielpo, focusing on the theme of “RefleXes” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Como’s twinning with Tokamachi, Japan.
Over 30 Events and 20 Secret Locations
- More than 30 events featuring live music, theatrical performances, creative workshops, tastings, yoga, night trekking, and four exhibitions.
- Access to over 20 private gardens and courtyards, including new openings like Palazzo della Rienza and the former convent of Santa Margherita.
Celebrating Japan: Exhibitions, Film, and Tea Tasting
- Five thematic exhibitions showcasing traditional Japanese clothing, art, and culture.
- Screening of “Kurenai no Buta” (The Red Pig), an animation film by Hayao Miyazaki.
- Origami workshop and guided tasting of six precious Japanese teas.
Podcast and Youth Involvement
Introducing “Voices from the Gardens,” a podcast featuring dialogues between garden owners and students, available on Spotify and YouTube. Additionally, over 100 students under 18 have actively participated in the festival’s organization.
