Colombia will face Australia in its debut at the U-20 Women’s World Cup

From August 31 to September 22 in four venues: the Metropolitan Stadium in Techo and El Campín, in Bogotá; the Atanasio Girardot in Medellín, and the Pascual Guerrero in Cali.

For the first time in Colombia, the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will be heldand everything is ready to welcome 24 teams, divided into six groups, from A to F. The competition that has seen emerging stars make the leap to the elite of world football, with players such as Marta, Alex Morgan and more recently the Japanese Maika Hamano.

From August 31 to September 22 in four locations:The Metropolitano de Techo and El Campín stadiums in Bogotá; the Atanasio Girardot in Medellín, and the Pascual Guerrero in Cali, will host the matches of these great soccer players in the world.

Spain will defend its title against the best women’s youth teams in the world, such as the United States, Brazil, France, Argentina and Colombia.

It should be noted that Colombia is aiming to become the second host country, after Germany in 2010, to win the U-20 Women’s World Cup. The winner of the tournament will be announced on September 22.

The tricolor team will be the host with Australiaand will play the main match on the opening day of the championship.

Before the Colombia vs Australia match this Saturday, August 31, Cameroon and Mexico will face each other at the El Campín stadium. This match will be at 3:00 pm (local time).

The game between Colombia and Australia will be at 6:00 pm, at the same venue. The national team arrives at the main match after two preparation matches against Morocco. The match will be broadcast on the Caracol and RCN channels.
