On the eve of Christmas and the New Year 2025, the president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME) of Burkina Faso, Pastor Henri Yé, sent a message to the Protestant faithful and the Burkinabè for a Burkina of peace.
Dear faithful of our churches, dear compatriots of Burkina Faso
On the occasion of Christmas and on the threshold of the year 2025, the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions of Burkina Faso gives thanks to the Lord our God who has given our country and the other countries of the AES to win great victories on the ground against attackers from all sides. Glory be to our God and to the savior Jesus Christ our Lord! The Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions wishes our faithful and all our Burkinabe compatriots from inside and outside a happy Christmas celebration. Christmas is the celebration of the nativity of Christ, Emmanuel, “God with us”, the prince of peace. Let the prince of peace help us make peace with God and with our neighbor. This is where peace and social cohesion will be achieved in our dear country Burkina Faso. Christmas is God’s gift to men. Also, we must give and receive. But on the one hand, let us share the love and joy of Christ with those around us, on the other hand let us welcome the Son of God into our home, into our hearts!

At the dawn of the new year 2025, FEME sends its wishes for health, peace and prosperity to all citizens of Burkina Faso. She expresses her compassion to the internally displaced people, the injured, the grieving families and all those who are still traumatized by the terrorizing acts they suffered and continue to suffer. We pray every day for peace to return to the land of honest men. Peace is our dearest wish for you and your respective families. May each of us do our part to live better together in our dear country. Every citizen of Burkina Faso, wherever he or she is, must raise his or her level of patriotism so that all together, united around our political authorities, we can ensure final victory for lasting peace in the land of honest men. This is the time for everyone to discipline themselves to fight against incivism, corruption of all kinds, and for tolerance in the family nation. It is only in this way that we will be able to cultivate the quality of relational life which will allow us to move towards the happiness of everyone in our dear country, Burkina Faso.

We duly salute the bravery of our Defense and Security Forces and our volunteers for the defense of the homeland who spare no effort on the ground to achieve final victory. Thanks to their determination, we see the end of the tunnel with great hope. May the Lord help us to achieve this as soon as possible. We pray daily for our administrative and political authorities so that the Lord gives them wisdom, intelligence and discernment for the good governance of the country and for the creation of jobs and employment opportunities for the benefit of youth. .
Dear faithful, dear compatriots of Burkina Faso
We are launching an appeal for the strengthening of unity and social cohesion for more solidarity around our FDS, VDP and IDPs. We encourage each faithful to hold firm in the faith, to persevere in prayer so that nothing shakes our hope. Finally, we engage with customary and religious authorities to ensure that interreligious dialogue dominates to ease conflicts and cultivate tolerance within all communities in their diversity.
May the Lord make his face shine on Burkina Faso and grant us his grace!
