The Briton, winner of the three Grand Tours: “I would like to race one more and then… Finish at the Giro d’Italia? It’s the most difficult stage race”

When he was at the peak of his career, as a winner of 4 Tours, 2 Vueltas, 1 Giro, and he said he wanted to stay in the group “until he was 40”, not too many people believed it. And yet here we are: Chris Froome will complete them on 20 May 2025 and has not finished collecting race numbers, even if since he risked his life in June 2019 (falling during the reconnaissance of the Dauphiné time trial) he has (almost) never been seen in the noble areas of the arrival orders. The sunset avenue for the Kenyan-born Briton, expected to make his seasonal debut on February 17 at the UAE Tour, is a very long one, and he has lost nothing of the kind manners and education that have marked his career as a phenomenon in the great stage races.
