Chile suffered a defeat in the semi-finals of the women’s field hockey event at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 against USA. Now, they will compete for the bronze medal against Canada.

“The Devils” managed to draw 1-1 against the Americans during regulation time but lost 3-1 in the penalty shootout.
Chile, on the other hand, will strive for their second Pan American bronze medal (Guadalajara 2011) and face Canada, a team they have already defeated (2-0) in the group stage of Santiago 2023.
It is worth noting that field hockey is one of the disciplines at Santiago 2023 that offers direct qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
