SPILIMBERGO – A triple 6 seconds from the final bell made by captain Pier Paolo Passudettiallows for Vis and its audience, to celebrate an important victory against Corno di Rosazzo who gave the mosaic team a lot of trouble.

Vis appearing in the field with Varuzza, Bertuzzi, Tommaso Gallizia, Baldin and Sovran that the latter was particularly motivated: 6-5 at the start with 4 points and a recovery from the home winger.

Little was gained in the first episode that there was Morello to find the basket with their feet on the three-point line but the defenses also asserted themselves: 14-13 at the first siren.

I led Vis in the second half (19-14) then a bloody turnover by Bertuzzi allowed Corno to come back: 19-17 and Starnoni time-out with 6′ to play. Our team’s attack was blocked and so Corno escaped thanks to Tossut (20-26) before the Gallizia twins correct the flow of the game with a basket each. Paunovic’s bomb at the end was a big blow: 24-29 at half time.

The second half where Paunovic, Mainardi and Bosio sent the visitors flying: 26-35 after 3′. HERE they sat on the chairTommy Gallizia and Bertuzzi that the guard signed the overtaking (36-35 with a 10-0 break in 4′). Corno only scored from a free throw and Bertuzzi punished again from long range: 43-38.

Race shot? Absolutely not because at 47″ Vis squandered the advantage and Starnoni had to time out again. The game continued with swings and with 4′ left it was still tied: 53-53.

Paunovic scored a triple, Baldin answered from below with Varuzza making it 57-56 at 100″ but he immediately exited after reaching the foul limit.

Fiery end with Corno’s 4/4 shot from the line that seemed to turn the game around for the visitors: 59-60. But in the last 27 seconds comes the triple Passudetti with Corno who, because there was no time-out, fired a quick and inaccurate shot.

An important win for Vis and what was needed after the derby seven days earlier with one little note of nostalgia because today’s game will be the last game played on the old parquet due to the amazing restyling that will be done on the PalaFavorita floor starting Monday.
