Canadian Brooke Henderson started her Olympic tournament in Paris on some false notes, but she saved her day in the end.

The representative of Unifolié returned to the chalet after the 1st round with a score of plus-2, which puts him far from the leader at the moment while many golfers are still on the course.

Golf National causes problems for Canadian golfers. Henderson made four consecutive bogeys from the second through the fifth hole. He seemed to be on the mend as he finished his first nine with two birdies.

With a plus-1 card entering the 15th hole, the odds are back on the agenda for the woman participating in her third Olympic Games. He made a double bogey before playing another shot over par on the 17th hole to suddenly find himself at plus-4.

An excellent second shot at the par 5 18th, however, set the table for Henderson to end his round in style. He recorded an eagle to post a score of 74 (plus-2).

At the time, Frenchwoman Céline Boutier was at the top of the rankings with a score of minus-5 after 11 completed holes. American Nelly Korda played a par (72) on the first day.

Alena Sharp is the other Canadian competing in this competition. He was at plus-2 entering his second nine.

Henderson’s best result at the Olympics came in 2016 in Rio with a seventh position.
