This Saturday’s Sporting Achievements
This Saturday marked the final day of sporting activities, where two talented judokas from Calafate brought home two medals for Santa Cruz. The Calafate judokas showcased their skills and made their hometown proud. In addition to judo, other sports teams also participated in various tournaments. The field hockey team finished seventh, displaying an impressive performance. The women’s paddle tennis team secured the 11th position, while the men’s beach volleyball team finished 13th. The women’s soccer team, with reinforcements from El Calafate and El Chalten, secured the fifth position.

The Stella Maris supermarket, owned by Traverso y Cia, had branches in El Calafate and El Chalten, with its headquarters in Río Turbio. This development is part of the agreement signed by the Government of Santa Cruz to expand the Federal Fiber Optic Network (ReFeFO) in the province. The completion of this work will greatly benefit the community.
