The 20th edition of Basketball Without Borders (BWB) ended yesterday in Johannesburg, South Africa. 4 Senegalese women and 2 men participated in this basketball camp, 3 of them were selected for the standard teams.
Amy Diop, Fatou Kine Diop, Binta Seye, Helena Faye, Cheikh Biteye and Cheikh Bamba Thiam are the Senegalese who were selected during this basketball camp held last Saturday August 3 to Tuesday August 6 at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ) in South Africa. It brings together 60 men and women from 24 African countries, including five NBA Academies.
This three-day training was led by Dallas Mavericks Head Athletic Trainer Dionne Calhoun (USA) and Cleveland Cavaliers Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Derek Millender. Plus other big names from the NBA and FIBA.
The campers underwent training in several areas: movement, efficiency drills, offensive and defensive skill stations, three-point competitions, 5-on-5 games and life skills and leadership development sessions.
