On Saturday a strong Eckental judo team drove to our friendly club in Lauf an der Pegnitz. At this year’s St. Nicholas tournament, the Budo Club Eckental was once again able to impress with great performances. Optimally prepared for the competitions in training, the judoka from Eckental were able to achieve top placings against young talent from seven other clubs. As a team, the young athletes achieved an excellent 4th place.
Particularly noteworthy were of course the young fighters who were on the mat for the very first time at a tournament and were able to achieve one or two wins with good technique – or even just experience. This definitely requires a large amount of courage. Congratulations to all Eckental fighters!
At the end there were many happy faces, especially when everyone received their certificate and the well-deserved chocolate Santa Claus. The trainer and especially the competition supervisors Ronja and Kilian were very satisfied.
