Nine-time PGA Tour winner and vice-captain of the American Ryder Cup team, Brandt Snedeker, has confirmed his participation in the Betfred British Masters by Sir Nick Faldo, set to take place from August 21 to 24 at the Belfry’s Brabazon Course.

Snedeker, a 44-year-old American golfer, brings a wealth of experience to the tournament, with nine PGA Tour wins and a FedEx Cup victory in 2012 under his belt. As a vice-captain for the American Ryder Cup team, he will be instrumental in supporting captain Keegan Bradley when Europeans challenge the Stars and Stripes at Bethpage from September 26 to 28.

“It’s always a pleasure to play in front of a passionate audience, and I know British fans love golf.” – Brandt Snedeker

“I’ve heard so much about the history of the Belfry and the British Masters,” Snedeker said on the DP World Tour’s official website. “I can’t wait to finally experience it for myself. It’s always a pleasure to play in front of a passionate audience, and I know that British fans love golf. With Sir Nick (Faldo) as a host, the week promises to be great, and I can’t wait to take up the challenge.”

“I played in the United States for most of my career, but I loved my trip to the Czech Republic last year. I am therefore delighted to come back to the DP World Tour for the Betfred British Masters and to live a new experience.”

What to Expect at The Belfry

At the British Masters, Snedeker will face notable opponents, including Luke Donald, the captain of the victorious European Ryder Cup team in Rome last October. The tournament will mark the end of qualifications on the European side for the Ryder Cup, with the six “qualified” players via the European Ranking set to be announced on the evening of August 24.
