It is intriguing to ponder the thoughts of Brahim Diaz after relinquishing the iconic number 10 shirt of AC Milan, only to find himself unable to even warm up on the sidelines of the Santiago Bernabeu during a match against Rayo Vallecano, which ended in a goalless draw.

One wonders if he regrets turning down Pep Guardiola’s offer and pursuing his dream of playing for Real Madrid, hoping to secure more playing time. Even his impressive performances at San Siro have failed to earn him the trust of Carlo Ancelotti, who remains steadfast in his belief that Vinicius and Rodrigo are untouchable despite their recent decline in form.

While there may be debates about whether Brahim is ready to lead Real Madrid’s attack, it is evident that in matches like yesterday’s, he could have made a significant impact as a substitute in an underperforming forward line.

It doesn’t take a defensive powerhouse like Ronald Araujo to contain Vinicius. The Brazilian winger, who was once known for his dribbling skills, now seems to have lost his touch. A relatively inexperienced Romanian defender, Ratjiu, effortlessly outperformed him in the penalty area.

However, this does not diminish Vinicius’ potential. He may be going through a rough patch, but he will bounce back. He may not be the one making the decisions now, but he will be. Despite his current struggles, it is crucial for Real Madrid to explore other options and give Brahim the opportunity he deserves. It’s a matter of fairness and recognizing the talent and dedication of a player who has been unfairly relegated to a peripheral role.

  2. It’s disheartening to see a talented player like Brahim Diaz make a disappointment move, leaving AC Milan for a potentially inactive role at Real Madrid. It’s a crucial time in his career and he needs regular playing time to continue his development. Hopefully, he can prove his worth and find success at his new club.
