Troubled by the presence of a tropical storm on the east coast of the United States, the first round of the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina, which had already been canceled on Thursday, was not completed on Friday. American Beau Hossler, who is trying to get into the FedEx Cup Playoffs, made the best card of the day by signing an amazing 60.
The 29-year-old Californian is still without a win on the American circuit Beau Hossler is one of the players who showed his last cards in the hope of entering the top 70 of FedEx Cup and thus qualify at the last minute for the Playoffs that begin next week in Memphis.
88th of the general before the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, the former University of Texas golfer scored his career-best score.

A beautiful 60 is just one shot from the course record, which was established by Brandt Snedeker in 2018, which allowed him to be projected in 51st place on Friday night at the end of the first day without allowing 156 players to complete their first round.
Le show Horschel
This is especially the case with Billy Horschel2nd in the final The Open at Troon who had two holes left to play when the siren signaled the end of play.
At -8 the winner of the Puntacana Championship in April benefited from a little help from fate when his iron shot on 2, the easiest par 4 on the course, ended up on the hole.
Passing 29 in the first leg, Horschel was two strokes behind the leader.
A hole-out eagle for @BillyHo_Golf 👏

Among the players on waivers, note the good start of Jordan Spieth back in this tournament for the first time in 3 years. Tied for 63rd at FedEx and crippled by a sore wrist for several months, he hasn’t finished in the top 20 at a PGA Tour tournament since the beginning of April. Friday the Texan returned a card of 67 with an eagle here on 15, his 6th hole of the day.
Another day, another dart 😮💨

Perez on his way
In the tricolor part it is Victor Perez who stood out as the best. And this despite a complicated start to the game was punished by a double bogey on 11, his second hole of the day.
But the recent 4th in the 2024 Paris Olympic tournament has resources and showed it again by responding immediately with three birdies in the next six holes.
A fresh bogey at 1, his second missed fairway of the day, didn’t slow him down at all. In fact Tarbais 71st in the FedEx Cup* finished like a cannonball with 4 birdies in the last 8 holes.
It is especially with his hand putt that the Frenchman made a difference of nearly 43 meters in putts returned last Friday.
With a card of 66 Perez, who announced that he aims to be higher than the FedEx top 70 at the start of the week, is in 15th position in the provisional tournament ranking and finds himself expected in 69th place .
Let’s also note the good first round of Paul Barjon. Author of a card of 68, the adopted Texan hopes to get close to the top 125 before the start of the Fall Series.
The leaderboard
*71st in the ranking, Perez is currently qualified due to the withdrawal of Grayson Murray who committed suicide in May.
