BCB sends Tawheed-Imman-Zaqer to Emerging Cup

The sixth edition of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup will be held in Oman. The eight-team competition will be held from October 18 to 27. For the first time this competition will be in T20 format. The game will be played at the Oman Cricket Academy ground in Muscat. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan ‘A’ Team Seng Hong, hosts Oman, United Arab Emirates will participate.

In name only the Emerging Competition, here the ‘A’ team is sending five full-fledged teams. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the team for this competition on Sunday. Where there are Parvez Hossain Imon, Tawheed Hriday, Naeem Sheikh, Zaker Ali Anikara. The team will be led by Parvez Hussain Imon, who recently played two T20 matches against India.

Grouping Bangladesh ‘A’ team is in ‘A’ group. While the other three teams are Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. Group ‘B’ consists of India, Oman, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates. Bangladesh will play against Hong Kong in the opening match. The match will start at 1 pm on October 18. Bangladesh’s second match is against Afghanistan on October 20. Bangladesh’s last match in the group stage is against Sri Lanka on October 22.

The top two teams of the group stage will play the semi-finals. The two semi-finals will be played on October 25 and the final on October 27.
