Barca’s Lamine Yamal Eyes Final Spot Despite Draw
Yamal’s Century Match Magic
In his 100th appearance for Barcelona, Lamine Yamal lived up to his billing as the UEFA Champions League’s youngest semifinal goal scorer. Despite not finding the back of the net, the “Rocafonda Rocket” left his mark, setting the stage for the return leg against Inter Milan.
“We’ll Give Everything to Reach the Final”
“We thought we could win, but now we have to think about the return and winning,” Yamal insisted, revealing his post-match feeling. Discussing his injury scare, he added, “I retired from the warm-up due to a strange feeling in my shot, but I recovered.”
Yamal echoed his sentiments in post-match interviews, underscoring his commitment: “I give everything for this team… We’ll give everything in the return and we’ll pass [to the final].”
Looking Ahead to Milan
The young striker, who bagged the record-breaking 1-0 goal at the Camp Nou, is confident his team can progress to the final despite the goalless draw.
“We’re a step away from the final. We’re 0-0, we were superior, but that counts for nothing. We’ll try to qualify,” Yamal stated.
