In Saturday’s game of the 20th round of the Spanish championship, Barcelona won a point away from Getafe, after having the lead (Jules Kounde in the 9th minute) and conceding a goal to equalize (Mauro Arambarri in the 34th). With that, she allowed Real to separate even more in the championship table. Club president Joan Laporta was furious in his commentary on the match.
He was bothered by the situation at the end of the match, that is, the moment in which he claims that a penalty should have been awarded to Kounde. The referee did not react, and the VAR did not make an announcement, and everything ended in the worst way for Laporta.
“The trial against Getafe was shameful. The fact that the penalty was not played is a scandal. Scandal. That word needs to be repeated several times,” said Barcelona’s president.
This is not the first time that Barcelona’s representatives have complained about the refereeing in the Spanish championship. Last season they did it several times and then they mostly said that the referees were making decisions to their detriment and in favor of Real.
