The Peruvian Badminton Team had an excellent participation in the IV Future Series held in Guatemala from September 4 to 8, winning a total of six medals, including one gold.
Together with the members of the Athlete Support Program (PAD) of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), the national team once showed its great power on the continent.
Adriano Viale climbed to the top of the podium in the men’s singles, defeating Portugal’s Bruno Carvalho 21-14, 21-7 to win the gold medal.
The silver medals went to Sharam Durand and Jose Guevara (men’s doubles) and sisters Fernanda and Rafaela Munar (women’s doubles).
The bronze medals were won by Fernanda Munar (Women’s Singles), José Guevara-Rafaela Munar (Mixed Doubles) and Sharum Durand-Nami Miyahira (Mixed Doubles).
More than 60 badminton players from countries such as Peru, Guatemala, Portugal, Canada, Ecuador, El Salvador, United States, Morocco, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, England and Barbados participated.
