Time is not going well for Babar Azam, one of the best cricketers of the time. He has not scored a century in any format of cricket since August 2023. During this period he played 43 innings. He was dropped from the Test team in October. Erop again got a chance in the eleven of the Test team.

Today, Thursday (December 26, 2024) at noon, Pakistan will face South Africa in the Boxing Day Test. If he can score only 3 runs in this match, he will touch a great milestone. Be the first Pakistani cricketer to score 4000 runs in Tests, 5000 runs in ODIs and 2000 runs in T20Is.

Babar currently has 3997 runs in 55 Tests at an average of 54.46. But he could not touch the magic figure of three digits in Test cricket for more than two years. He last played an innings of 161 runs against New Zealand in December 2022. Then he scored 366 runs in 18 innings without making any half century.
