Competition Numbers Rise at Autun Golf Club
The Autun Golf Club recently held its general meeting on Friday, March 13th, at the Bistrot du golf, with Mayor Vincent Chauvet and Gérard Verdier, President of the Municipal Sports Office, in attendance. The meeting highlighted a positive outlook for the club, despite a slight decrease in overall membership and a moderate financial deficit.
Notably, the club saw an increase in participation in its competitions, with 1213 players
taking part in events held at the technical course in 2025.
New Instructor and Volunteer Recognition
A key factor in the club’s optimistic outlook is the arrival of new golf instructor, Damien Jaillard. Club President Arnaud Bohy believes Jaillard’s presence should motivate more people to practice this sport, the most practiced individual sport in the world.
The association also expressed gratitude to volunteers Pierre Rocamora and Pascal Machin for their dedication to the golf school during the period without a dedicated instructor. Recognition was also given to the club’s numerous partners, acknowledging their vital support.
Leadership Updates for 2026
The club announced its leadership team for 2026, with Arnaud Bohy, Norbert Dupuis, Christine and Didier Bouthiere, Éric Janot, Pierre Rocamora, and Guy Goussard continuing in their roles. Evelyne Wirth will now lead the women’s team, succeeding Martine Laurent.
