Eight of the world’s finest tennis players have arrived in Turin to compete in one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year, marking the culmination of the 2023 season. The ATP Finals, held at the Pala AlpiTour from November 12 to 19, will witness fierce competition among Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Holger Rune. Among them, Djokovic, the current world number one, stands as the formidable opponent to beat.

Group Stage: ATP Finals 2023

The top eight players of the season are divided into two groups. The green group consists of Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Holger Rune, while the red group comprises Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, and Alexander Zverev. Alcaraz, the Spanish tennis sensation, will face three opponents with whom he shares a balanced head-to-head record. This will be his first encounter with the Monte Carlo Masters 1,000 champion, and he has an equal number of wins and losses against the Russian and the German.

Date and Time: Commencement of ATP Finals 2023

The matches will be held in two sessions each day: day and night. From November 12 to November 17, the group stage matches will commence no earlier than 2:30 p.m. for the daytime session and no earlier than 9:00 p.m. for the night session. The semi-finals, scheduled for Saturday, November 18, will follow the same timetable. On the final day, Sunday, November 19, the doubles final will take place at 4:00 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated men’s individual final at 7:00 p.m.

Alcaraz and Djokovic’s First Matches at ATP Finals 2023

Novak Djokovic will kick off the tournament. The Serbian maestro will take to the court on Sunday, November 12, not before 9:00 p.m., against Holger Rune, whom he previously defeated in the quarterfinals of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1,000. Their remaining matches, along with the schedule and opponents, are yet to be confirmed. On the other hand, Carlos Alcaraz will make his debut in the ATP Finals on Monday, November 13, no earlier than 2:30 p.m., facing Alexander Zverev. He will continue his group stage matches on Wednesday the 15th and Friday the 17th.
