World Baseball Classic 2026: Transportation Plan Announced for San Juan Games
Fans attending the 2026 World Baseball Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will have a convenient transportation option thanks to a new plan announced by the Integrated Transportation Authority (ATI). The ATI will serve as the official transportation provider for the international event, which will be held at Hiram Bithorn Stadium from March 6th to March 11th, 2026.
Dedicated Service to Hiram Bithorn Stadium
To support the mobility of fans, residents, and visitors, ATI will implement a special public transportation service directly connecting the Roosevelt Urban Train Station with Hiram Bithorn Stadium. This service aims to provide efficient, safe, and accessible transportation for all attendees.
The special service will begin operations two hours before the start of each game and will continue for one hour after the game concludes. ATI will adjust operations based on demand and the official event schedule.
Operational Plan for Smooth Transit
To ensure punctuality and a smooth flow of service, ATI will implement a comprehensive operational plan. This includes a dedicated lane on Roosevelt Avenue to expedite transit, coordination with the Puerto Rico Police, and designated waiting areas at the Roosevelt Station.
“The World Baseball Classic positions Puerto Rico before the world as the venue for major sporting events, and at ATI we responsibly assume the commitment to guarantee organized, safe and efficient mobility for our citizens and the thousands of visitors who will come to the Island. This effort reaffirms our mission of integrating collective transportation as a key piece in the economic and tourist development of Puerto Rico,”
Josué Menéndez Agosto, executive director of the Integrated Transportation Authority
ATI encourages attendees to utilize public transportation as an efficient alternative to driving to the stadium, contributing to a better overall mobility experience during the event.
