Aston Villa loses appeal over Jhon Durán’s red card

Villa protested and appealed the decision, considering it an unfortunate and unintentional move.

However, the Birmingham club confirmed this Friday that the appeal has not been successful and that the Colombian will have to serve the three-game ban.

“Aston Villa can confirm that our decision to appeal Jhon Durán’s red card has been rejected. The player will miss the next three games,” the club said in a statement.

Durán, who had started the last four Premier League games, will miss the matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City and the FA Cup match against West Ham United. EFE
