Tulane Athletics Seeks Mental Health Specialist
Tulane University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is searching for a dedicated Assistant Director of Behavioral Health & Performance Specialist to provide clinical leadership, direct services, and program oversight for student-athletes.
“The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology, along with a current mental health therapist license recognized by the State of Louisiana,” according to the job listing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of psychotherapy (individual, crisis, and group) to student-athletes, with a focus on performance-related and sport-specific concerns.
- Collaboration with internal and external partners to promote student-athlete wellbeing, resilience, and performance.
- Development of workshops, team training, and outreach programming to enhance student-athlete mental health and reduce stigma.
