The weekend brought contrasting results for the Amiens Sports Club’s hockey teams in National 1 action. The men’s team secured a vital away win, even as the women’s team faced a heavy defeat.

Men Overcome Angers SCO

Following a recent home defeat, the men’s team bounced back with a 1-2 victory against Angers SCO. The Samarians, tied on points with Angers before the match, needed a win to improve their league position. After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, they rallied in the second half with goals from Faille (from a short corner) and Bonilla to secure the win.

Women Fall to Paris Jean Bouin

The women’s team, however, endured a difficult match, losing 4-0 to Paris Jean Bouin. Despite the opportunity to recover from a previous defeat against Lille MHC, they struggled against a Paris Jean Bouin side that had only scored three goals in total before the match.

The defeat sees Paris Jean Bouin close the gap to just one point, intensifying the battle for survival in National 1.
