Art Says No to Violence: A Multifaceted Journey into Gender Equality

Saturday’s Events: Art, Dance, and Conversation

Kick off the event with a Non-violence in the Yoga tradition class led by Tulsi (Claudia Lovato) at 4 PM. Turin-based artist Simonetta Guida will then open her solo exhibition, accompanied by Endas art collective curated by Mino D’Amici, at 5 PM.

Angelo De Pascalis will share poetic readings at 6:15 PM, followed by a tango performance by Alessandro De Virgilio & Ilaria Tricarico at 7:15 PM. Lia Caprera, president of the IoDonna association, will lead a public debate on freeing oneself from male violence at 7:30 PM.

Sunday’s Events: Debate, Art, and Hope

Join Luciana Bova and the Brindisi Queer transfeminist collective for a public debate on denouncing and revolutionizing against gender violence at 5 PM. Explore Simonetta Guida’s art featuring turbulent landscapes at 6 PM, and support local anti-violence associations through a charity collection.

Francesca Marrazzo, a sociologist of crime and deviance, will lead a discussion on ‘The art of awareness – accompanying people towards rebirth’ at 7:30 PM. The event concludes with a final speech by Filomena Pomés D’Agnano, discussing her ‘Viva Vittoria Brindisi’ project at 8:30 PM.
