Switzerland and Slovakia Reveal Squads for Billie Jean King Cup Play-offs; Argentina Aims to Lead Group C
Absences in Swiss Team
The Swiss team will miss its top two players, Belinda Bencic (No. 14) and Victoria Golubic (No. 60), for the Billie Jean King Cup play-offs in Group C.
Simona Waltert (No. 97), Celine Naef (No. 185), Susan Bandecchi (No. 246), and Valentina Shivers (No. 258) will lead the Swiss team in the absence of their top players, with Heinz Günthardt as captain.
Slovakia’s Strong Squad
The Slovak team will be led by Rebecca Sramkova (No. 65) in singles and Tereza Mihalikova (No. 25 in doubles) in doubles. Viktoria Hruncakova (No. 226) and 16-year-old Mia Wang (No. 650) will also play for Slovakia.
Sramkova has a recent victory against Argentina’s Lourdes Carlé, while Hruncakova has a history of beating both Carlé and Nadia Podoroska in the Billie Jean King Cup.
Argentina’s Lineup
Argentina has confirmed its lineup, led by Mercedes Paz, featuring Solana Sierra, Lourdes Carlé, Julia Riera, JazmÃn Ortenzi, and Luisina Giovannini. The team aims to lead Group C against Switzerland and Slovakia.

The event will be held at the Córdoba Lawn Tennis Club from November 14 to 16, with the winning team securing a spot in the Qualifiers 2026.
