Today “Arda” (Kardzhali) celebrates 100 years since its establishment!
The football club was founded on August 10, 1924, and in the period 1945-1957 it bore the name FC “Miner”, and subsequently became Arda again.
From the 2019/2020 season, the team is already part of the Bulgarian football elite, and a year later it also reached the final of the Bulgarian Cup against CSKA, followed by a debut in European club tournaments.
“On behalf of the entire Bulgarian football family, I want to congratulate Arda FC on the occasion of its 100th anniversary! For this one century, the team has become a symbol of the entire football community of Kardzhali and the region. I wish the club and its fans many more successes in the future “, said the president of the Bulgarian Football Union, Georgi Ivanov.
Centenary celebrations will take place on September 6.
