Anthony Kim Signs Full Year Deal with Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces at LIV Golf Adelaide
40-Year-Old American Golfer Joins Saudi League
Anthony Kim, 40, is set to compete in the LIV Golf Adelaide for the first time within a team structure. The American golfer has signed with Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces team for the remainder of the season, replacing Patrick Reed.
Kim’s LIV Golf Journey So Far
Kim joined LIV Golf in 2024, after more than a decade away from competitive golf, due to personal issues. His first two years were challenging, with mixed results. However, he showed promise in 2025, with a top-30 finish in Miami and a top-25 finish in Dallas.
Kim’s career took a significant turn at the LIV Golf School 2026 where he secured one of the three places available. Following his impressive performance, he returned to LIV Golf as a free agent and recently finished with his best result yet (22nd) in Riyadh.
Kim’s Role in Dustin Johnson’s Team
- Kim was not initially the first choice for the 4Aces team but was signed after displaying merit, including a fifth-place finish at the PIF Saudi International in 2025.
- He will be joining forces with Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry.
- His signing brings LIV Golf’s player count to 57, comprising 52 team players and 5 free agents.
LIV Golf’s Meritocracy and Room for Progress
Miguel Tabuena, who temporarily replaced Reed, returns as a wildcard, securing the remaining free agent spot. Despite initial skepticism, LIV Golf has shown room for meritocracy, as Tabuena finished third in the International Series and 48th in Riyadh.
