The footballer from Quibdos, Carlos Andrés Gómez Hinestroza, currently plays for the Real Salt Lake team in Utah, United States, and will now make the leap to Europe.

This young winger, with great abilities, received his sports training at Club Real Quibdó, a club he joined at the age of ten, and was part of the Chocó national team in 2015 and 2018, and the Millonarios club.

Gómez Hinestroza is said to be ready to join Stade de Rennes, one of the classic teams in French football. He also beat fellow Chocó native Yaser Asprilla, who ultimately failed to make it to the Ligue.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the signing and agreement between Real Salt Lake and Stade de Rennes for 10.5 million euros, which could rise to 14 depending on certain variables, plus a 15% resale clause. A big bet for the French in this European league.

It is undoubtedly a great move for the Colombian midfielder in terms of his future career, considering that he is only 21 years old. But the other beneficiary is Millonarios, who according to sources will receive 2.8 million euros for the sale and could receive a little more in variables that will depend on the fulfillment of certain objectives.
