The end of the game in the lower Czech competition was very hot. Football went by the wayside, it was like swearing. Someone else attacked the referee.

It seems like a pretty quiet game. But what happened at the end of the Českobudějovicka fourth grade match between Hrdějovice B and Horní Stropnice was over the edge. The visiting officials, along with the players, clashed with three of the referees and there is also a physical attack one of them. The match ended prematurely at 2:1 and all the referees had to lock themselves in the cabins in front of the angry attackers.

A 17-year-old referee was attacked

It all started in the 69th minute with the visit of assistant coach Jaromír Baierling, who insulted the head referee in an indiscriminate manner. He was right to see a red card. But he didn’t care he didn’t even want to leave the tech zone. He did not stop the threats directed at the first referee. The worst happened at the end, when the only seventeen-year-old referee Daniel Kočí gave the visiting players three red cards and ended the match prematurely.

Červená was seen by Kristyán Maršálek, Josef Holej and Václav Trojan. The latter even attacked the referee. According to the Diary, the minutes of the match literally said: “Gross unsportsmanlike conduct. In the final match after a no-whistle situation. During the fight, physically attack the referee’s head (pushed the referee with both hands).”

An exemplary punishment awaits the guilty

“This is a very sad and shocking matter. Speaking for the entire executive committee, I believe this is a compelling case and I believe the disciplinary committee has the same position on this and those concerned will be punished in an exemplary manner,” said the chairman of the České Budějovice District Football Association, Libor Šolc, added in a breath: “As players make mistakes on the pitch, referees make them too. Especially at this level. What happened is above all.”

The first referee of the game also had his say. “I read in the discussions that it could also be a criminal complaint and so on. I consider it football, a little competition. I’m not the type of person to deal with it. I have to write it on the record, as it should be. If not, I will lose respect,” Kočí iDnesu told, which is not marked by the incident. On the contrary. “It inspires me. I must not allow myself to be discouraged from something I enjoy. As I improve, I can move on. It makes me stronger. “ Kočí added.
