Unseeded Pair Secures Maiden ATP Masters 1000 Title

Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard have emerged victorious at the BNP Paribas Open, defeating Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the doubles final. The unseeded pair secured their first title as a team, marking a significant achievement in their partnership.

Andreozzi and Guinard overcame a challenging path to the championship, including victories over fourth seeds Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski, and the top-seeded duo of Granollers and Zeballos.

“I am so happy to be able to win here,” Andreozzi said. “It’s an amazing tournament, a really big one. I am so proud of the work with Manu and this journey since August of last year.”

The pair demonstrated resilience throughout the tournament, saving key break points and maintaining composure under pressure. According to Infosys ATP Stats, they saved four of the five break points they faced in the final.

A Team on the Rise

Andreozzi and Guinard began their partnership at the 2025 US Open. Guinard already had one title at this level, having triumphed at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters with Romain Arneodo in 2025. Andreozzi is 4-1 in tour-level finals, having won his previous three titles at ATP 250 clay-court events in Umag (2024), Buenos Aires (2025) and Bastad (2025), respectively.

“I knew it was going to be a dangerous match,” Guinard added. “We prepared for the match as well as we could and tried to manage the pressure because it was a first one [together]. It’s not like every week we play an ATP Masters 1000 final, so really happy with the work we have done together.”

Rinderknech/Vacherot’s Run

Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot also had a strong showing in the tournament, defeating teams including Daniil Medvedev/Learner Tien, Novak Djokovic/Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Karen Khachanov/Andrey Rublev.
