The IPL auction has started at the Abadi Al Zohar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This auction started at 4 pm Bangladesh time. A total of 557 players will be auctioned in two days. Today is the first day of auction.
Naman Dhir fetches the highest price among ‘uncaps’ batters:
Naman Dhir fetched the highest price among the uncapped batsmen. He was joined by Mumbai Indians for 5.25 crore rupees. After that, Nehal Vadera got 4.20 crores in Punjab Kings and Abdul Samad got the same price in Lucknow Super Giants. Besides, Ashutosh Sharma got a team in Gujarat for 3.80 crore, Abhinav Manohar in Sunrisers Hyderabad for 3.20 crore and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in Kolkata Knight Riders for 3 crore.
Most expensive spinner is Noor of Afghanistan:
After the pacers, the spinners were auctioned. There, Chennai Super Kings bought Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmed with a base price of 2 crore rupees for 10 crore rupees. Out of this, the most expensive spinner on the first day of this auction is Noor. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin was signed by Chennai for Rs 9.75 crore.
Among the spinners, Wanindu Hasaranga joined Rajasthan Royals for Rs 5.25 crore, Adam Zampa joined Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2.40 crore, Rahur Chahar joined Hyderabad for Rs 3.20 crore and Mahish Thikshana joined Rajasthan Royals for Rs 4.40 crore.
Archer in Rajasthan for 12.5 crores, Hazlewood in Bengaluru:
After the wicket-keeper batsmen, the pacers auction has started. English pacer Jofra Archer has been recruited by Rajasthan Royals for 12.5 crores. Lucknow, Mumbai and Rajasthan to take Archer with a base price of Rs 2 crore. At one stage his price went up to 12.25 crores. In the end, he was picked by Rajasthan for 12.50 crores.

Chennai Super Kings got another Indian pacer Khalil Ahmed for 4.80 crores.
Pant’s Most Expensive Wicketkeeper Salt:
Rishabh Pant fetched the highest price among the capped wicketkeeper batsmen on the first day of the IPL mega auction. Then England’s Phil Salt. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 11.50 crore.
It fetched the second highest price of Rs 11.25 crore Ishan Kishan. Sunrisers Hyderabad has joined him at this price. Venkatesh Iyer with a base price of Rs 2 crores has been brought in by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 23.5 crores. In the end, Bengaluru and KKR fought to get him into the team. In the end, he was picked up by the current champions.

The rest of the first day of the IPL mega auction resumes after the midday break. Pant is the most expensive player, beating Shreyas:
