Ambohidratrimo Basketball Section Kicks Off Season with Ambition

The Ambohidratrimo basketball section has begun its season with a renewed focus on development and achieving results. President Rija Rakotondrabe has outlined a clear vision for his first year in office: a commitment to hard operate and tangible success.

Official Season Launch

The official opening of the season took place this weekend, drawing enthusiastic fans to the Para field in Ivato. The event was attended by representatives from the Malagasy Basketball Federation and the Analamanga League, including its president, Haingo Mampionona Ratovonjanahary, alongside the new management team led by President Rakotondrabe.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for President Rakotondrabe to formally introduce his collaborators to the basketball community.

“The season starts a little early for the Ambohidratrimo basketball section. President Rija Rakotondrabe intends to mark his first year in office through work and results.”

Focus on Success and Infrastructure

Leaders of the section have set a clear objective: to achieve significant success this season across all participating categories. A key component of this ambition is the planned development of infrastructure, including the upcoming inauguration of a new basketball court.

The new committee is also prioritizing the empowerment of its members and the clubs within the section.

League Emphasizes Fair Play

Speaking at the event, the president of the Analamanga League stressed the importance of adhering to regulations, combating age falsification, and ensuring all licenses are up-to-date for both clubs and players.

He stressed that this is the path towards the development of this discipline.

The Analamanga League also demonstrated its commitment to grassroots development by donating sports equipment, including four tempered glass basketball boards and several basketballs, to strengthen the practice and promotion of the sport at the district level.

Ratovonjanahary expressed optimism for the season, stating, “May the champions of Madagascar come from the Ambohidratrimo section.”

A total of 18 teams, spanning all categories, will compete for championships within the section this season.
