Madrid, Spain – The Alhama Judo Club is celebrating a series of impressive results, highlighted by Belén and Andrea Ortiz’s victory at the José Navarro de Pelencia Spanish Super Cup of Kata held in Madrid.

Belén and Andrea Ortiz secured first place in the katame no kata of the junior category at the prestigious Spanish Super Cup, held at the Villaviciosa de Odón pavilion. This win follows a recent success in Italy and serves as crucial preparation for the upcoming European Championship, under the guidance of coach David Romar.

Regional Judo Championship Highlights Inclusive Competition

The Murcia Region Judo and Inclusive Judo Championship recently took place, marking the first time a regional competition has been open to athletes with any type of disability. Alhama de Murcia was the pioneering town in the Region to host this inclusive event.

Alhama judokas demonstrated strong performances across multiple competitions. Results include:

Golden League Action in Albacete

On March 7th, the second day of the Judo Golden League was held in Albacete, featuring clubs from Castilla La Mancha, the Valencian Community, and Murcia. Eight Alhama judokas participated, accompanied by coach David Romar and a supportive group of family and fans.

While she didn’t advance past the second round, her performance secured her qualification for the final phase of the Spanish Cadet Championship, scheduled for April 18th and 19th in Palma de Mallorca.
