Liverpool manager Arne Slott insists defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is fully committed to them amid speculation over his future.

The England right-back is out of contract in the summer and various sources say Real Madrid made an approach – but not an offer – to sign him in January, which the Merseysiders rejected.

Spanish media have also reported that Real are keen to sign the 26-year-old this month, but Slott is confident he will not slip up and confirmed Alexander-Arnold will remain in Liverpool’s starting line-up against Manchester United United” this weekend.

“I can tell you that he will play on Sunday and I hope he will show the same performance as he has in the last six months”Slott said.

“I think everyone saw what a great first half he had, how much he’s here, how much he wants to win here.”

There has also been speculation over the futures of Mohamed Salah and Van Dijk as they are also in the final six months of their contracts at Anfield.

Slott added: “If what other people say about them is going to destabilize the Liverpool players, then we really have a problem.
