Alcaraz and Sinner Set for Miami Open Debut – Schedules Revealed

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will seek more success at the Miami Open presented by Itau.

Top Seeds Prepare for Miami Challenge

The tournament organizers have announced the planned schedules for top seed Carlos Alcaraz and second seed Jannik Sinner at the Miami Open presented by Itau.

Alcaraz is slated to initiate his tournament on Friday evening against either Joao Fonseca or Fabian Marozsan. Alcaraz has not previously faced the 19-year-old Fonseca, who was defeated by Sinner in the fourth round of Indian Wells.

Sinner’s Path to the Final

Sinner will begin his campaign on Saturday against either Damir Dzumhur or a qualifier. The Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index shows Sinner has a 19-3 record in Miami and has reached the final in three of his four appearances, winning the trophy in 2024.

Sinner recently made history at Indian Wells, becoming the third – and youngest – man to complete the set of winning all six ATP Masters 1000 hard-court events, joining Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

Recent Form and Tournament Outlook

Alcaraz is seeking his third title of the season, following victories at the Australian Open and in Doha. His impressive start to the year was halted last week by Daniil Medvedev in the Indian Wells semifinals.

The Miami Open main draw commenced this Wednesday.
