Alcaraz Commemorates Australian Open Triumph with Novel Tattoo

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz has marked his historic Australian Open victory and completion of the Career Grand Slam with a new tattoo, continuing a tradition of commemorating his major championship wins with ink.

The new tattoo, a kangaroo symbolizing Australia, joins a collection that includes the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge for his two U.S. Open titles, the Eiffel Tower for his Roland Garros win, and the Wimbledon strawberries, along with the dates of those victories. He also has an engraving of his grandfather’s motto – “head, heart and balls” – represented by the three Cs on his skin.

Alcaraz prefers discreet tattoos, according to his own statement. The artwork was created by Ganga, a Murcia-based tattoo artist who has also worked with high-profile clients such as LeBron James, Drake, Post Malone, and Nicky Jam.

Davis Cup Next on the Horizon

With seven major titles to his name, Alcaraz has set his sights on adding the Davis Cup to his list of accomplishments. He previously stated his intention to get a tattoo commemorating a Davis Cup victory before the Masters.
