Anton Gaaei, once fallen and maligned, has risen from the ashes to become a crucial player in Ajax’s championship race. After a difficult start at the Amsterdam club, Gaaei has transformed into a valued force, ready to clinch the title today if Feyenoord falters and Ajax secures three points against NEC.
