A decade of strong growth, with a +263% in terms of sales which brought Italy to second position, behind France, in the ranking of the most important and profitable markets for the brand Aixam–Mega. “We are consolidating a very positive trend – he underlines Tom Fagetgeneral director of the transalpine company owned by the Polaris group – In 2024 we estimate a production of 19,900 vehicles, of which 3,100 are electric, equal to 15% of the total, with a +4% compared to 2023. The Italian market is confirmed for us very important and dynamic as also demonstrated by the figures relating to 2024. To date, the number of registered Italians from January to August has seen an increase of 11%, with 4,100 vehicles soldof which 900 are electric, equal to +2% of total sales compared to 2023″. A growth also guaranteed by the presence of over one hundred dealers (compared to approximately 600 European dealers) scattered throughout the Peninsula. Each sales point is able to provide vehicles ready for delivery and prompt assistance for vehicle maintenance. “In Italy the market is in a phase of strong evolution, especially in large urban areas: the traditional target represented by teenagers without a B driving license is now joined by a category of adults and professionals who use minicars to overcome increasing traffic restrictions. In particular, in metropolises, light electric quadricycles are becoming a valid alternative to electric cars, thanks to their reduced costs and an autonomy that guarantees city mobility, to the point of becoming a second family car. Furthermore the arrival of new competitors in the segment entry level has broadened the demand for minicars in general.”
