Experience, talent and charisma. The big coup comes for the Nuova Pallacanestro Treviso market securing one of the best players in the championship for next season: Antonia Peresson. The Guard, born in 1995, Peresson chose Treviso to continue an extraordinary career, which last season saw his protagonist with a Faenza shirt in Serie A1.
Raised in the youth sector of Reyer Venezia, where he made his A1 debut at the age of 17, Peresson stood out from a young age: his qualities even took him abroad from 2014 to 2018 he wore the famous jersey of the Georgia Tech University team in the NCAA. In 2020 he returned to the field in Udine, also thanks to the presence of coach Alberto Matassini, whom he now finds on the bench in Treviso: in recent times Peresson’s numbers have been amazing, first in Serie A2, then in last year in Serie A1, where he contributed to the safety of the pitch in Faenza.
A player with a deadly shot, since his return to Italy in Serie A2 he has averaged 13 points per game, but above all has a percentage of almost 44 percent from 6.75 points. A public danger for the defenses of group B and an additional lethal weapon for Treviso’s attack. “The relationship that binds me to Antonia has a date of origin – says Alberto Matassini, who has him as an athlete in two other teams – First in Udine and then in San Giovanni Valdarno we experienced exciting times, where they were born and developed a very unique technical and human harmony to find him again after two seasons is very nice and I think it should be a source of pride for the club and the city that a player with his background chose to come to Treviso looking at a challenging time.”
