Norwegian league team Hamkam FC Seconds became the first football club to give full control to an AI manager, although his time in charge wasn’t very long.
Thanks to the interpretation of data in real time, the AI took over the entire responsibility of the team, deciding all tactical and personnel decisions.

The failed experiment
The AI manager took over in an important match against local rivals. With the fans already hesitant about the new appointment, the 6-1 defeat was decisive for the end of the experiment. After starting with a 4-5-1 formation and taking a 1-0 lead, things quickly went south with questionable tactics used by the new manager.
An unconventional tactic
The throw-in goalkeeper and the 1-0-9 formation were not what the fans hoped to see as the team was suffering a heavy defeat.
