Alvi Farhan Overcomes Singaporean Challenge
Alvi Farhan earned his place in the top eight with a victory over Singapore’s Jia Heng Jason Teh, winning with a score of 21-17, 22-20.
“I was under pressure from the beginning, but I thank God that I was able to get out of the pressure, whatever the situation, whatever the situation, I always try to find a way, I desire to be behind, I want to be ahead, nothing is impossible before the referee announces the end of the match,”
Alvi Farhan
Farhan acknowledged feeling pressure at the start of the match but focused on remaining calm and finding solutions.
He emphasized the importance of controlling his emotions to maintain focus throughout the game.
“I tried to calm down, I tried to control myself more. Sometimes I was confused inside, so I tried to calm down. I’m grateful that I could change things,”
Alvi Farhan
According to Alvi, Jason Teh presented a challenging match due to his height and quick, sharp attacks. However, he believed his opponent’s expectations weren’t too high, allowing him to play more boldly and build confidence.
Farhan explained that patting his chest after the win was a way to release tension and calm himself, as the strong desire to win created internal pressure.
“It is a way to release tension and calm down because the desire to win is great, so there is a little pressure from within trying to stay calm,”
