In the Group B showdown held in Helsinki, Finland, Canada’s offense was sparked by goals from CarsonSoucy, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Adam Lowry. Behind an impressive performance by netminder Dylan Garand, Canada’s defense held strong, limiting Slovenia to just 25 shots on goal.

Canada controlled the game early, outshooting Slovenia 18-5 in the first period. Soucy opened the scoring at 13:03, and although Slovenia applied pressure midway through the second period, Canada responded with goals from Dubois and Lowry, extending their lead to 3-0.
