Canada Kicks Off IIHF Worlds with Impressive Shutout of Slovenia



Canada started its 2023 IIHF World Championship campaign with a bang, defeating Slovenia 3-0 in their opening game.

In the Group B showdown held in Helsinki, Finland, Canada’s offense was sparked by goals from CarsonSoucy, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Adam Lowry. Behind an impressive performance by netminder Dylan Garand, Canada’s defense held strong, limiting Slovenia to just 25 shots on goal.
