In 65 games (54 starts), he averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. Notably, he connected on 74.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
From Little Rock to Junior College Stardom
Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Camper was an all-state and all-conference performer in high school, leading Little Rock Central to consecutive state finals. His impressive high school career resulted in him becoming one of the program’s all-time leaders in points, steals, free throws, and scoring average.
Camper’s collegiate journey began at Tyler Junior College, where he nearly scored 1,000 points in two seasons. As a senior, he averaged 19.9 points per game, shooting 50.4 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc. His outstanding play earned him honorable mention All-American honors.
