Rio Takeda’s Background

At just 21 years old, Rio Takeda turned professional in 2022 and has already won eight JLPGA Tour tournaments, including the TOTO Japan Classic. She earned her LPGA card immediately but chose to start her LPGA journey in 2025. She has already secured two top 10 finishes in four tournaments, making the cut in all of them.

Minjee Lee’s Performance

Minjee Lee, who won the Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course in 2016, had a strong performance during the third round with two chips for eagle. Despite her best score of the week (67, -5), she couldn’t match Rio Takeda’s eight birdies and zero bogeys.

Podium Finishers

Second place went to Ayaka Furue from the HSBC Women’s World Championship 2025, completing the podium.

French Players’ Performance

Céline Boutier carded a 73 with three birdies and four bogeys, finishing in 30th place. Adela Cernousek had her worst score of the week, a 76 (+4), due to two double bogeys, including one at the start. She hit more fairways (12/14) but struggled with greens in regulation (11/18). Despite this, she finished 65th, satisfyingly passing the cut unlike her first tournament of the season (Founders Cup).
